Summer 2019 Youth+Art Program
The Museum of Sonoma County was pleased to offer two summer projects in 2019, allowing the Youth+Art students to contribute to an upcoming exhibition and to our local community.
Alebrijes Project
During the summer, students worked with artist Peter Perez, museum volunteers, and staff to construct papier mâché sculptures called alebrijes. These finished sculptures were displayed in the Museum’s Día de los Muertos exhibition in the fall.
Roseland Mural Project
We are thrilled to announce the completion of Roseland in Motion, a mural project at Roseland Elementary school, completed in partnership with artist Martín Zúñiga and Community Action Partnership.
