Virtual Program - No Longer Just a Man's Game: Sonoma County Women in Sports and Journalism

5/28/2020 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM PT

Nearly 50 years after the passing of Title IX, more women and girls than ever before are playing sports and are holding positions with national sports leagues, but it’s an industry that is still far from equal.

Join us for a fascinating conversation with three women who are leaving their mark in the fields of sports and documentary journalism.

Featuring:
Amy G- Sports journalist and San Francisco Giants reporter for NBC Sports Bay Area. Amy is also the author of three children's books about Smarty Marty, a girl who loves baseball.
Kerry Benefield - Prep Sports columnist for the Press Democrat.
Deanne Fitzmaurice- Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer who has photographed on assignment for publications including Sports Illustrated, ESPN, and National Geographic.
